We know that our food services are an integral part of our program. While we do not have the capacity to address various specific dietary needs, we are committed to working with campers to ensure that they are well prepared for their time at camp.
Please be advised that Camp Oshkidee is not a food allergen or gluten-free facility. Campers with food allergies or other nutritional concerns are encouraged to review the camp menu and plan to supplement meals independently wherever needed as food allergen / gluten-free alternatives will not be provided.

CAMP RULES + REGULATIONS

1. There is no smoking allowed in or around the buildings. Smoking is limited to the fire pit area exclusively.
2. There is absolutely no alcohol or recreational drugs permitted on site.
3. Youth is reserved exclusively for those entering grade 7 or age 12 up to 18. Exceptions will be made only for Wide Games, and at the invitation of our Youth Workers.
4. There is absolutely no swimming or water activities after dark - exact time to be determined by our Directors each week.
5. There is no lifeguard on duty - children at the beach/dock must be supervised by an adult.
6. Life jackets must be worn at all times when operating any watercraft.
7. Parents are responsible for their kids when not attending our children or youth programs.
8. Camp Oshkidee values modest dress and asks that you consider this and bring appropriate clothing, swim & beach wear for a family event. Full coverage tops and bottoms are encouraged.
STATEMENT OF BELIEFS ON MARRIAGE, SINGLENESS, FAMILY, AND SEXUALITY

Camp Oshkidee affirms that marriage and the family are sacred institutions established by God. The ministry of Camp Oshkidee is to support the church as it celebrates and blesses marriage, family, and singleness, fostering an environment where families can grow in love and individuals are honoured, whether married or single.
Camp Oshkidee affirms that marriage is viewed as a covenant relationship designed by God to unite a man and a woman for a lifelong commitment toward holiness and freedom. Its purpose, as intended by God, includes companionship, sexual union, and the nurturing of children (where able). Sexual intimacy is deemed appropriate only within the bounds of marriage, characterized by mutual love, faithfulness, and submission. Believers are encouraged to marry within their faith, and the community of faith actively supports marriages, seeking reconciliation in times of trouble. Although human sinfulness may lead to divorce, the church offers hope and healing while upholding the biblical ideal of marital faithfulness.
Camp Oshkidee affirms that singleness is held in equal honor with marriage, and sometimes even preferred. The church blesses, respects, and fully includes those who are single, recognizing unique opportunities for individuals to declare and experience the kingdom of God. Regardless of marital status, all are called to live sexually pure lives.
Camp Oshkidee affirms that family relationships, at every stage of life, are intended by God to be characterized by love and maturing in holiness. Children are acknowledged as a gift from God, and godly parents are entrusted with the responsibility of instructing and nurturing their children in the faith.
Camp Oshkidee holds that God wonderfully creates each person as either male or female and his goodness gifts each one a physical body that is in alignment with that gender. Rejecting ones biological sex is a rejection of God’s gifts and the design he chose for his creation when he said of those that would bear his image that they would be male and female. Compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity must be afforded to every person, even when we disagree on foundational beliefs. The ministry of Camp Oshkidee wants to speak and live out God's truth in love, and any form of hateful or harassing behaviour is unacceptable.
Camp Oshkidee's statement of faith acknowledges the Bible as the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, serving as the ultimate authority on truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind. The Board of Directors of Jeannette Lake Camping Association holds the final interpretive authority on the Bible's application for Camp Oshkidee's faith, doctrine, practice, policy, and discipline.

Neither Camp Oshkidee nor Jeanette Lake Camping Association, nor their agents, employees, servants or volunteers, guarantee, and they assume no responsibility for the safety of the persons or property of participants or spectators. No person may participate or spectate without having signed the below Liability Release Agreement. Should individuals wish to have protection against any risk which may arise in relation to participation or spectating, or related travel, the purchase of personal insurance is recommended.
LIABILITY RELEASE AND INDEMNIFICATION DISCLAIMER CLAUSE:
Neither Camp Oshkidee nor Jeanette Lake Camping Association, nor their agents, employees, servants or volunteers, are responsible for any loss or damage suffered by any person in relation to their participation or spectating, or related travel, for any reason whatsoever, including negligence or gross negligence on the part of Camp Oshkidee or Jeanette Lake Camping Association, or their agents, employees, servants or volunteers.
